Bio
Sidonie Mynarik Cliett, age 93, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital on August 14, 2009. Mrs. Cliett was born in Orchard, Texas, and spent most of her childhood growing up in Wallis. In 1945, she married Roland Cliett of Pattison, Texas. He passed away on May 23, 1963. Sidonie retired from Southern Pacific Railroad, after 42 years of service. In 1999, she and her family donated land to be used for the Wallis Nature Park. Mrs. Cliett was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents John Mynarik and Lillie Parma Mynarik of Wallis and her sisters Leona and Bessie Mynarik. She is survived by her niece Cheryl and Nathan Peschke, and nephews Bill and Lorene Gaydosik, and Larry Gaydosik; sister-in-law Carol and Durward Read; very dear friends Carole Yunker and Mike Brady, and Joe Bennett, as well as numerous friends and relatives. Pallbearers were Philip Gaydosik, Michael Peschke, Justin Gaydosik, Chad Peschke, Patrick Parma and Frank Rohan. Funeral was Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Forest Park Lawndale.
