Bio
Viola Claire Hanson, 89, passed away on March 22, 2008, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Al Hanson; her parents, Roy and Eunice Lehmann; her sister, Lois Murray Harrington; and her great-granddaughter, Ashleigh Roach . Viola is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Jim) Swanson; and son, Terry (Barbara) Hanson. She was proud to be called Grandma by six grandchildren, John (Lori), Patrick (Kathleen), Erin (Steve), Guy (Kim), Sean (Steffanee), and Geoffrey; 12 great-grandchildren, Jason (Katie), Allyson, Gregg, John, Julianne, Kaitlin, Annika, Tate, Jeshurun, Sunshine, Judah, and Summer; and one great-great-grandchild, Kaeleigh. Viola was an active member of Lynnwood Emblem Club #366 and Grace Lutheran Church of Everett. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Bethany at Pacific (3 So.) and Group Health Hospice for their compassionate care and support. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on April 19, 2008, at Grace Lutheran Church, 8401 Holly Drive, Everett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the Grace Lutheran Food Bank or the Lynnwood Emblem Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 232, Lynnwood, WA 98046-0232.
