Bio
NAPA - Clarence Albert Hansen, 88, of Napa, died peacefully at home Aug. 10, 2009. A native of Iowa, Mr. Hansen served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, and worked the majority of his life as a cowhand on various cattle ranches. He was a resident of Napa since the 1950s and worked for the Peter Gasser family for 16 years. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Eleanor, by her son, Gregory Bryan, and by 10 siblings. Surviving are his daughter, Kelly Hansen; sister Shirley Crouse, and by close friend Stan Gorham. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jeanna, Jamie, Sarah and Katherine; and great-grandson Ashton. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel, 623 Coombs St., Napa. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon.
