Robert L. Harris, 86, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at a Bedford hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Robert was born in Wyoming on Dec. 14, 1922. He retired from the Army on Dec. 14, 1982, as a lieutenant colonel after 40 or so years of service. He was the son of the late Steven A. Harris and Mary Snider Harris. He was married to the late Albina Labaj Harris for 49 years. Survivors: Daughter, Donna Harris Carnahan; grandchildren, Danny Carnahan, Dana Walker and her husband, Gary, and Dylan Carnahan, all of Fort Worth; and he was the great-grandfather of two girls, Madison Carnahan and Lillian Walker.
