OBITUARY - "Kearney Hub", 27 January, 2005 -- OURADA, Richard "Dick" F., 73, of Elm Creek, Neb., died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City, Arizona. Services will be Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Elm Creek. Burial: Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Elm Creek. Mortuary: O'Brien-Straatmann-Apfel of Kearney and Elm Creek; memorials suggested to a scholarship fund. Born June 16, 1931, in Overton; parents: John and Evelyn (Brick) Ourada. Grew up in the Overton and Elm Creek area; received his education at Stone School and Elm Creek High School, graduated 1948. Married: March 28, 1951, to Floralee Fagot. Was involved in farming throughout his lifetime; began trucking in 1959, transporting automobiles, then formed Ourada Truck Line. After retiring, enjoyed RV travels throughout the country. Activities: enjoyed his family and friends; member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, BPO Elks and Eagles. Survivors include: wife; sons, Dan, Stan, Bill and J.C.; daughters, Vickie Sullwold, Ginger Blunk and Valerie Otto; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; also daughters-in-law, Pat, Denise and Amy; and sons-in-law, Richard Sullwold, Rick Blunk and Mitch Otto; and sister-in-law, Donevieve. Was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don and Johnny; and sister, Rosalie Nordell. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
