Daughter of George Fletcher and Zelpha Francella "Fannie" Vaughn Perkins Sister of Fletcher and an infant Wife of Leroy Grace married March 12, 1913 Mother of an infant, Janie Frances (Ernest Kegerreis), Mrs. Joseph Fuqua, & Mrs. Norman Robinson The 1900 census taken 26 June in Beat 1 Township 17 Lowndes Co. for household 295 & family 297 lists George (age 47) born Jan. 1853, widowed, born in Miss.; Martha (19) daughter, born Jan. 1880 in Miss.; Fletcher B. (15) son, born March 1885 in Miss.; and Ples Hardaway (14) a servant, male, born April 1886. George owned his farm with a mortgage on it. In 1910, the census was taken 20 April for Beat 1, Lowndes County. Household and family 63 shows George (age 57), Jennie (30, dau.), Fletcher (25, son), and Jessie Lee (20, daughter in law). George was a farmer who owned his farm free of mortgage. He was a widow. Fletcher is listed as a farm laborer. By 1920, Leroy had moved his family to Akron, Ward 7, Summit County, Ohio. The census was taken January 3 and listed the Grace family as household 25 and family 33. They rented their home. Leroy (31) worked at a rubber factory. Also in the home were Janie (33) and Janie F. (3 years and nine months). The 1930 census taken in Akron, Summitt County, Ohio on April 16, lists the Grace family as household 437 and family 575. Living in the home were Leroy (40, Miss), Janie (45, Miss) and Frances (14, Miss). Leroy was a gas station attendant and Frances attended school. They owned their home and it was worth $4500. The Commercial Dispatch October 27, 1954 Mrs. Janie Grace dies in Indiana Mrs. Janie Perkins Grace, 74, died at 5 a.m. today in the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.O. Kegerreis, in Union City Ind. Mrs. Grace was born in Columbus. She had made her home in Union City for 35 years. Survivors are her husband, Leroy Grace, her daughter, Mrs. Kegerreis, and a brother, Fletcher Perkins of Columbus. Funeral Arrangements are incomplete. Memorial Funeral home is in charge.
