WIFE OF FRED J. KRENK. Services were August 11, 2000 for Helen Rose Barcal Krenk, 84, of Ida Grove, Iowa at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove.Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Ida Grove. Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home in Ida Grove. Mrs. Krenk died August 6 at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove. Mrs. Krenk was born August 26, 1915, in Linwood, Nebraska, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Pospichal) Barcel. She was raised and educated in Nebraska. She married Ferdinand J. "Fred" Krenk April 29, 1941, in Abie, Nebraska. In 1943, the couple moved to Ida Grove, where they farmed until retiring in 1984. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and over the years was active in the Altar Society. Survivors include five sons and their wives, Fred R. and Juella "Jo" Krenk of Wayne, Neb., John R. and Rachel Krenk of Ida Grove, Gerald L. and Carol Krenk of Schoolcraft, Mich., Benedict J. "Benny" and Colleen Krenk of Sunrise, Fla. and Garden Grove, Calif., and Bernard P. and Carol "Loni" Krenk of Ida Grove; 11 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Urban of Prague, Neb., and Emma Bohaty of Seward, Neb.
