Bio

The Palmer Journal, March 20, 1975, transcribed by Linda Berney: Fred Kotrc was born March 4, 1910 near Farwell, the son of John and Marie Pavlik Kotrc. When he was a small child, the family moved to a farm in Gage Valley near Palmer. He received his education in rural schools in that area and then began farming. He farmed with his father raising registered cattle. Survivors include two brothers, James of Lorane, Oregon and Rudolph of Omaha; four sisters, Mrs. John (Agnes) Jensen of Grand Island, Mrs. Henry (Julia) Halla of Cotesfield and Mrs. Charles (Martha) Sobotka and Mrs. Emil (Elsie) Moravec, both of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother & one sister.
