JAMES GEORGE CERNOSEK, 77, of Katy, entered his resting place on Sunday, August 2, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Cernosek; brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and lots of family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2009, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, with Deacon Jim Hite officiating. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2009, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial, with Deacon Jim Hite officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the Michael E. DeBakey V.A. Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030.
