Bio

Jo Lynn (Spears) Boggs Bennett, 71, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, June 7, 1999 in a local hospital after battling cancer. A native of Dry Creek and a graduate of Dry Creek High School, she was a housewife-homemaker and a member of Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse Church. She was a gentle and kind soul, a strong woman. After the death of her husband, she managed to raise her young three children on her own — with little means, but with great faith and spirit. She was a loving friend and mother, and was a sweet "Nanny" to all of her grandchildren. Her kind and gentle nature remains an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
