Helen Thornhill Gay Covington, LA Funeral services of Helen Thornhill Gay, 87, of Rayville, LA were held at 2 P.M. Sunday September 23, 2001, at Sharp's Chapel Church of God. Burial followed in Sharp's Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Rayville, LA. Mrs. Gay died Thursday, September 20, 2001, at the Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, LA after a brief illness. She was a former resident of Covington, LA and a member of Sharp's Chapel Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Roy L. Gay; a grandson, Kenny Gay; and a granddaughter, Rita K. Hill. Survivors include her children-Vernon Gay and his wife, Joyce, of Pensacola, FL, Jeannette Rester and her husband, Kenneth, of Visalia, CA and Maxine Hill and her husband Grant of Rayville, LA; her grandchildren-Keith Gray of Pensacola, FL, Brian Hill of Lafayette, LA and Sondra Rester, Sherry Rester, and Angel Guiterrez, all of Visalia, CA; and her great grandchildren-Austin Gay, Sean Gregory, C.J. Newport and Katie Guiterrez.
