Funeral services for Mrs. Lavonia Pearl Wheeler Hollis, 77, Lynnville resident, were held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by a Church of Christ minister. Burial took place in Lynnwood Cemetery. Mrs. Hollis died on Wednesday, October 14, at Giles County Hospital, after a few weeks illness. Born March 7, 1887, in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Billy Wheeler and Mandy Parsons Wheeler. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Twice married; her first husband, Alf Worsham died in 1942, and her second husband, Jim Hollis, died several years ago. Mrs. Hollis is survived by one son, Alfred Worsham, New Albany, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Rilla Mae Briner, Clarksville, Ind., and Mrs. Mabel White, Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Harry Wheeler and Homer Wheeler, both of Pulaski.
