Bio

William Humphrey Reeves, 1st Sergeant, resided in Madison County and enlisted at age 18, on 6 August 1861 in Company C 29th North Carolina Infantry, CSA. Mustered in as Private, promoted to Sergeant 2 May 1862. He was promoted to 1st Sergeant on an unspecified date. Reported absent without leave during September 1864- February 1865
