Tours - Leon Steve Slovak, 70, of Fort Worth, died Friday at his residence. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Fort Worth, the Rev. Publius Xuereb as celebrant. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours. Rosary will be 4 p.m. today at Harveson and Cole Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Mr. Slovak was born in Texas on May 5, 1917. He was a veteran. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Deiterman Slovak; two sons, Kenneth Slovak and James Slovak, both of Fort Worth; four daughters, Patsy Greathouse, Jeanne Allen, Dorothy Fisher, and Sheila Slovak, all of Fort Worth; and 10 grandchildren. Rosary was recited at 4 p.m. Sunday at Harveson and Cole Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Publius Xuereb as celebrant. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Martin's Cemetery near Tours with Rev. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Mr. Slovak was born May 5, 1917 in Texas, son of Ed and Katy Slovak. He married Ruth Deiterman. He was a retired firefighter for the White Settlement Fire Department. Mr. Slovak was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Fort Worth. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Slovak; two sons, Kenneth Slovak and James Slovak, both of Fort Worth; four daughters, Patsy Greathouse, Jeanne Allen, Dorothy Fisher, and Sheila Slovak, all of Fort Worth; and ten grandchildren.
