Bio
Alfred A. Holy, age 75, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Baylor Medical Center of Dallas. Alfred was born July 30, 1933 to Joe J. and Mary J. Holy of Ennis, Texas. He was reared in Ennis and graduated from St. John Catholic School in 1952. He married Georgia Jakubik on May 9, 1959 and they made their home in Ennis. Alfred served in the maintenance department for over 30 years with St. John's Catholic Church, Ennis, Texas. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, KJT, WFLA, SPJST and Knights of Columbus. Alfred is survived by his wife, Georgia Holy; one son, Robert Holy, and his wife, Diana, of Ennis; two daughters: Sheila Young, and her husband, Dave, of Ennis and Michele McManus, and her husband, Kelly, of Ennis; five grandchildren: Michael and Mark Russelburg, Nicholas Young and Collin and Lindsay McManus. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joe E. Holy and one son, Joe D. Holy. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 in the J.E. Keever Chapel. Funeral mass will be Friday, May 15, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
