Bio

Mabel Edith "Ma" Wardell Schitoskey died at her home in Palestine, Texas on July 25, 2009. Burial at Rock Church Cemetery was under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. She was born October 4, 1914 in Anderson County to the late William Ross Wardell and Ellen Lewis Wardell. She and Luther W. Schitoskey married August 29, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Luther Fred; six brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by daughters, Grace Madewell, Hilda Graham, and Shirley Whitwell; sister, Betty Kimbrough; 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
