Married in Franklin County, Tennesse to Susan Mary Lawson on 22 January 1880. Children: Charles Lee Webb, James William Webb, John Cleveland Webb, Henry Mac Webb, Mollie Viola Webb, Madison Wilson Webb, Rollie Johnson Webb, Carl Wayne Webb, Diona Louise Webb and Manley Webb. Parents were James Louis Webb and Nancy Sophronia (McCoy) Webb. Obit: Quanah June 6, 1936. - J. L. Webb, a resident of Hardeman county for the past 20 years, died at the Memorial hospital here Friday morning. He had been in bad health for several years but had only been under treatment at the hospital for the past week. The body was taken overland by B. H. Smith Undertaking company to Romney, Texas where funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Methodist Church. Burial was made in the Romney cemetery. Mr. Webb came to Quanah from Eastland County in 1916 and was engaged in farming one mile east of town. Surviving are his widow, six children and a host of grandchildren. The children are: Dr. J. W. Webb of Hedley, J. C. Webb of Childress, M. W. Webb, Carl Webb, Mrs. Jack Taylor and Mrs. Walt Beasley, all of Quanah. Published Sunday, June 7, 1936 in "The Childress Index" (copy provided by Sydney Key) Mr. Webb had two brothers; John and William, and five sisters; Eliza, Frances, Mary Emmalyn, Martha and Sarah.
