Bio

The day he died, he helped fight a fire near the Bonita Dam. He was camped in a tent with a friend when taken by coughing and he asked for a ride back to Carrizozo for some medicine. On the way he felt better and wanted to stop for coffee. He then slumped against the driver. Taken to the hospital he was declared dead. He came to NM and resided in or near Carrizozo for about 27 years. He had worked as a section foreman for the Southern Pacific Raliroad for about 35 years. Widow is Hazel, and he has a step son, Nicky Graves. He is also survived by four brother and two sisters. A Mason and member of the Odd Fellows. He was a keen hunter and outdoor sportsman.
