TEXAS PFC US ARMY WW II Troy Taylor Funeral for Troy Taylor, 56, of 1466 Fannin, who died at 6: 50 a.m. Tuesday at Cox Memorial Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Carl Wilson, pastor of Faith Temple Church will officiate. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery. Born May 6, 1917 in Hodges community, he married Elizabeth Harwell Jan. 8, 1938 in Baird. They moved to Abilene from View in 1951. He owned and operated Taylor Used Car Lot. Before entering the car business he was a truck driver for E. M. Bailey Construction Co. of Abilene. Survivors are his wife: two sons, Don of 1309 Westmoreland and Maxie of Irving; a daughter; Mrs. Doyal Cumby of Carrollton; a brother, W. H. of Albuquerque; N. M.; Three sisters, Mrs. Opal Warden and Mrs. Ruby Purser, both of 242 Sunset and Mrs. Dorothy Burton of Fort Worth; Seven grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Cumby, James Vaughn, Joe Ray, James Porter, Jerry Elrod and Robert Warren.
