Bio

Herman Johnson went to the West Coast seeking employment and worked for a time in the mills. He later found employment with the railroad, from which work he retired. He worked as a tool and die maker and was an excellent blacksmith. He lived most of his life in Vancouver, Washington. He died at a rest stop while on a trip to visit his son Kenneth.
