The Wichita Eagle, August 14, 1944, Page 6 Death Claims Alma Bashaw Mrs. Alma Ethel Bashaw, 56, retired chiropracter and resident of Wichita for the past 28 years, died Monday morning in a local hospital following a lingering illness. She was the wife of Robert E. Bashaw, of 613 South Estelle. Born January 24, 1888, in Sumner County. Mrs. Bashaw came to Wichita from Fairview, Okla., in 1916, retiring from practice in 1930. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Rebekah Lodge. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Willard, 6 Beech Road, Forest Hills; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Clark, Silver Lake Wash., and Mrs. Retta McCarty, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and four brothers, A. Hamilton Sieg, 922 South St. Clair, Ed and Henry Sieg, both of Portland, Ore., and Stanton Sieg, 3200 East Murdock. Funeral services will be announced by the Culbertson Mortuary. Interment will be in the Wichita Park Cemetery.
