Bio

Son of Seth Johnson and Lydia Ann Smith Father of Jessie M. Alexander Seth Johnson Jr., 96, passed away February 5, 1972, at the Cody Hospital after an illness of seven days. Mr. Johnson was born December 17, 1876 in Hillsdale, Utah to Mr. and Mrs. Seth Johnson Sr. He married Mary Eliza Caffall on July 30, 1902 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church. He is survived by daughters, Mrs. A.J. Alexander of Byron, Wyoming, Mrs. Clarence Goddard of Dalles, Oregon, Mrs. Elda Mast of Provo, Utah, and Mrs. Thomas Campbell of Rawlins, Wyoming; one son, Mr. Ivan Johnson of Rapid City, South Dakota; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 1972 at 2:00 p.m. at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell with Bishop Walter M. Mayer officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery. Although a the Funeral Home records (which are not always accurate) indicate Seth "Alvin" Johnson, a contributor stated the following: This Seth Johnson did not have a middle name. He was my grandfather. His daughter and my mother was Vera Olga Johnson Wooderson Campbell. She is buried in Lander, Wyoming. Signer: Lee A Wooderson
