George Franklin Cooley Jr Funeral for George Franklin Cooley Jr, 70, of Athens will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with Bob Waldron officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Mr. Cooley died Tuesday, June 10, 1997, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born December 20, 1926, in Alabama. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ and was a retired supervisor at Fullerton Metal Manufacturing Co. in Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Moses Cooley; his mother, Minnie Lois Cooley of Detroit; and two sisters, Olene Horn and Catherine Walker, both of Detroit. DECATUR DAILY - June 11, 1997
