Bio

CAROLINE VANYA MORRIS VANYA was born in Liberty County, Texas to John Vanya of Louisiana and Josephine Ella (Doucet) Doucette of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, one of eleven children. Caroline future husband: Finney Morris had served in the Mississippi Company H, 15TH Regiment as a private in the infantry. He then relocated to Texas where sometime before 1870 he married Mary (Unknown). They had for children; boys J. T. (1870-TX), F. M. (1873-TX), G. R. Morris (1879-TX), and a girl C. M. (1877-TX). Mary and the four kids just disappeared. Caroline (Vinia/Vanya) 18/1868, married Finney O. or I. Morris 46/1841 of Mississippi, on 3 March 1887 in Liberty County, Texas. Finney & Caroline had two girls; • Julie Morris (September 1888 – Before 1910) • Kate Morris Cotten (25 July 1890 – 11 August 1963) Finney Morris disappeared for the known records. (William) Clark Jordan married Caroline Monis/Morris on 5 November 1896 in Liberty County, Texas. They had three children: • Mary Annie Jordan Crow (17 November 1900 – 13 October 1965) • William Benjamin Jordon (11 March 1904 – 21 June 1982) • Ola Jordan Barrett (28 November 1905 – 4 February 1970) Caroline stated in the 1910 census only 4 of her 5 children were alive.
