Sophia Rookstool daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Maurius Lange and beloved wife of John Christopher Rookstool was born Dec 23, 1889 and died Feb 19, 1914, age 24 years, 1 month, 22 days in her home at Redfern Custer County Neb. She married John Christopher Rookstool March 12, 1911 and to them were born 2 children both of whom survive. The entire community extend their heartfelt sympathy to the beloved husband, children, parents and relatives. This vicinity has lost one of its most estimable young women. Her friends are numbered by those who knew her. She was god fearing knowing no law of life saved the Golden Rule. Generous, hospitable, cheerful and kind.
