Richard Benjamin Forde was born on Aug 17,1896 in McLennan, Texas. His parents were William Berry Forde and Sallie Weaver. He served in the Army during World War I on July 22,1918. He was briefly married to Pearl Taylor for a very short period then divorced. He married Grace Iola Sanders on Aug 6,1932 in McLennan, Texas. They had three children. Richard's Obit: Richard Benjamin Forde, 77, of 1501 Fannin died Tuesday in a local hospital. Funeral Services will be at 2:30 pm. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Homes Chapel, Bellmead, Minister Malcom Smith officiating, burial in Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors: His wife, Grace Iola Sanders Forde, two sons, Richard Boyd Forde of Columbia, Maryland and David Forde of Irving; one daughter Mrs. Donald (Penny) Richardson of 1942 Madera; two brother Laurence Forde of 1118 Bagby, and Bernard Forde of Seattle, Washington.; one sister Ethel Forde Foster of 1901 Park; and seven grandchildren.
