Bio

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cole and Maud Mortuary chapel, 215 S. Washington St., for George Allen Hutchins, 1173 E. Brenda, who died early today at Hoemako Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, Cottonwood Lane. The Rev. Robert Stahmer, pastor, will officiate. Mr. Hutchins was born Oct. 28, 1907 in Edgewood, Texas. He had lived in Arizona 52 years; 40 years in Casa Grande. He was a farmer. He had been a member of the Trinity Baptist Church for 20 years and was head of the building committee when the new sanctuary was built. He and Arah G. Stirling, who survives him, were married Sept. 14, 1927 in Safford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Tracy Hutchins, of Casa Grande; his daughters, Mrs. Billie Wilson, of Casa Grande, and Mrs. Vicki Condon, of Tucson; his brothers, Jesse Hutchins, of Texas and Roy Hutchins, of Idaho; his sisters, Elsie Scroggins, Ida Lee Edwards, Edna De Shazo, all from out of state; and six grandchildren. The family prefers memorial contributions to Hoemako Hospital.
