Bio

Valley Mills Tribune Robert H. Dagley, well-known ranch man and life-long resident of Bosque county passed away in the Clifton hospital. His death came 3 weeks after he had suffered a stroke at his home in east Meridian. Funeral services were held in Meridian Methodist church, conducted by Rev. J.D. Barnes, pastor of the Valley Mills Baptist church. Friends from far and near made up the large gathering who paid their last respects. The flower offerings were many and beautiful. Mr. Dagley was a native of the southeast section of Bosque county and was reared there. He married Kate Weeks Jan. 17, 1912 and 5 children were born to them. His death followed by 5 weeks that of his mother, Mrs. Cassie Dagley of Valley Mills. Mr. Dagley had engaged in ranching here about 10 years. He was one of the promoters of the Meridian Rodeo and was widely known among the stock men of this section. He was a quiet and friendly man, highly respected for his fair and square dealing, a loving and kind husband and father.
