Services: Will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2009 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville. Visitation: Will be at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services for Theodore Crooks will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2009 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Eddie Carpenter officiating followed by Masonic Rites. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery, Pollock with full military honors. Visitation will be at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Crooks, 83, of Pollock, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Crooks served in the US Army and Air Force during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. January 1956 in Scotland he joined the masons as an Entered Apprentice, received his Fellow Craft in February 1956, Master Mason in April 1956, joining the Anchor Lodge #261, Pollock in 1988, secretary from 1990 -1997, Master of the Lodge in 1999. Member of the York Rite Body, Keystone Chapter #44 as the High Priest, Illustrious Master of Summit Council #12, Commander of Trinity Commandery #8 and member of Knights York Cross of Honor. After the military he worked at K-Mart for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Lola Glen Crooks; four brothers and grandson, Chad Crooks. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jennie Price Crooks; children, Diann Crooks King and husband, Ken, Don A. Crooks, Michael A. Dancer, Theodore Crooks, Jr., Brenda Crooks, Melinda Crooks and Debra Crooks; grandchildren, Michele Williams, Karen Lisa Deville, Alison Williams, Billy Williams, Becky Dodge, Nicole King, T.C. King, Charlotte Martin, Crystal Crooks, Shannelle Crooks and Michael Nash Dancer; great grandchildren, Jacqueline Smith, Jennifer Smith, PVT 2 Steven Smith, Thomas Williams, Courtnie Williams, Bailey Williams, Christian Williams, Christopher Williams, Jamie Williams, Trent Williams, Destin Williams, Matthew Dodge, Maison Dodge, Marshall Dodge, Devlin Crooks, Hayden Martin, Skylar Martin, Michael Layne Dancer, Elle Dancer and Luke Dancer; great, great grandsons, Jayden Delacerda and Tanner Marquis; sister, Shirley Covington; brothers, Billy Crooks and J.L. Crooks and wife, Marie. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandchildren.
