DENVER CITY — Services for Kenneth Maynard Gibson Sr., 66, of Denver City will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denver City Church of Christ with Skip Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. He died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in Midland. He was born March 26, 1936, in Goodlett. He married Marlene Chrest on Aug. 19, 1959, in Couteau, Md. She died Aug. 9, 2002. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Ken Gibson Jr. of Japan and Kevin Gibson of Denver City; a daughter, Konnie Brown of Midland; his mother, Eltha Gibson of Breckenridge; a brother, Lyn Gibson of Breckenridge; two sisters, Sherrie Kinsey of Breckenridge and Kay Sellers of Denver City; and eight grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to New Mexico Children's Home in Portales, N.M., or Hospice of Midland, P.O. Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
