m: 25 Dec 1909 in Antelope Co, Nebraska The Cashmere Valley Record - Aug. 10, 1972 Ethel Hamer, 80, longtime Cashmere resident, died In a Cashmere nursing home Monday, August 7, She was born on July 22, 1892, in Bassett, Neb., and grew up there. She married Harwood B. Hamer on Dec. 25, 1909, in Ord, Neb. They lived there until 1936, when they moved to Mr. Hamer died in 1949. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Louis Radke, Cashmere, and Mrs. Julia Martin, Cashmere; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a half brother, Carl Young, Ord, Neb., and a half sister, Rena Trump, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by a daughter Gladys Wiggins in 1959. Funeral services for Ethel Hamer will be. held Friday, August 11, at 11 a.m. in the Braun Funeral Chapel with Rev. Otha Holcomb officiating. Mrs. Robert Bates will sing 'The Old Rugged Cross" and "Peace In The Valley", accompanied by Earl Barnes at the organ. Burial will take place in the Cashmere Cemetery. The Braun Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
