Bio
Funeral services for Alpha Lee Green have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Arrow Heights Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. Her son, Pastor Bob Green will officiate. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. Green was born Aug. 16, 1919 in Williamson County, Texas, the daughter of Johnnie Rhea and Martha Alice (Williams) Tucker. She died at home in Broken Arrow on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the age of 89. A 1937 graduate of Corsicana State Children's School in Corsicana, Texas, she married Chester Lee Green on Oct. 2, 1942 in Waco, Texas. He preceded her in death as did brothers Skinny, Olen and Red and a sister, Rosie. She is survived by a daughter, Patti, and husband Mario Hernandez, and son Rev. Bob and wife Margaret Green, all of Broken Arrow; sisters Faye Tucker of Georgetown, Texas; Johnnie Good of Waco, Texaqs, Dessie Roper of McGregor, Texas and Essie Stephens of Broken Arrow; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family requests memorials to Step Up The Faith Building Fund at Arrow Heights, 3201 S. Elm Place, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
