Samuel Dancer was born abt 1794 in Smith County, Tennessee. On 23 Mar 1823 he married Nancy Barnes, daughter of Dennis Barnes, in Stewart County, Tennessee. After the death of Nancy Barnes Dancer (about 1871), Samuel Dancer married Lucinda M. McDaniel on Jan 31, 1874 in McNairy Co., TN. They lived together in Tishomingo Co., MS.
