Bio
Richard was the son of Richard Parker (1775-1850) and Nancy Bartee (1784-1860). Richard was first married to Mary Ann Allison in 1849 in McMinnville TN. She was born in 1829 and died in 1871. FamilyTreeDNA FG #16 Haplogroup I-M223 of the Dr. Richard Parker (1630-1680) group of Virginia immigrants from Warleggan, Cornwall, England. They had the following children: Thomas B. 1853-1886 Nancy Ann 1855- Edward Rudolphus 1857-1857 Benjamin Franklin 1862-1902 Olive Cleopatra 1866- In 1880, Richard remarried to Martha Willeford in Coffee, TN. She was born 1853 and died in 1937 in Bastrop County. To this union was born: Charles David 1880-1973 A. C. Oakey 1887-1972 Joseph K. 1883- Richard O. S. 1894-1924 Sometime around 1882, Richard moved his family to Bastrop county, TX. They settled in the Oak Hill area. He most likely followed his sister, Fybia LeGrand Parker-Ruthven (Find A Grave Memorial# 47643763) who came to Texas with her husband Edwin Volney Ruthven, about 1879 and settled in nearby Lee county.
