San Angelo Standard-Times San Angelo, Texas · Thursday, June 05, 1958 BIG SPRING-Jessie D. Hanks, 85, retired farmer of the Vealmoor community, 14 miles north of Big Spring, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday at his home after a three-week illness. Services are pending at River Funeral Home here. Mr. Hanks had lived at Vealmoor for 34 years. Survivors include three sons, Porter and Dewey Hanks, both of Vealmoor, and Jim Hanks of Muleshoe; two daughters, Mrs. Connie Jackson of Vealmoor and Mrs. Mae Heick of Tucson, Arizona; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
