Bio

Minnie (Short) Copas,90,Tompkinsville,died at the Monroe County Medical Center. Born in Monroe County,she was the daughter of the late Ike and Polly(Short)Short and the wife of the late Oscar Copas.She was a member of the Germany Church of Christ. Survivors include a son-Larkin Cops,Kettle;seven daughters-Inez and Polly hurd,Eva Nell Spear,Odel Hestand and Ailene Rich, all of Tompksville;Hazel Bartley,Campbellsville,and Callie Choate,Martinsville,Ind.;21 grandchildren and 35 g-grandchildren and five g-g-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons,Barlow and Lloyd Copas, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Germany Church of Christ with Bro Esmond Bartley officiating.Serving as pallbears wereTimothy Mark Rich,Billy Joe Copas,Rick L. Ritter,Edmond Bartley,William L. Choate and Willie Copas.
