From The Fayetteville Observer: July 14, 1898 BLANCHE On the 4th inst., Mrs. Delia McCown, wife of Hardy McCown, passed away after a long illness. She was for a number of years a consistent member of the Methodist church. She will be greatly missed in the church, in her home and especially by her Sabbath School class. Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Oakley and Bouldin; burial at Blanche.
