GAR Prominent Citizen Dies L. F. Parrott, of Cedar township died on the morning of September 17. He had been sick for only two weeks, no particular cause assigned except a general wearing out. Mr. Parrott came to Buffalo county from near Minden, Nebraska three years ago, purchasing six hundred and forty acres of land, and at the time of his death was possessor of about one hundred head of cattle. He leaves a wife and six children, four boys and two girls. One of the girls, Mrs. Frank Schwasinger, and a married son, James Parrott, live near by. The funeral ceremony took place from the Cedar Creek Chapel on Friday at two o'clock. He was respected by all the neighbors as a conscientious and upright man.
