Bio
Frank was the son of George Walkup and Edna May Gorby His mother died when he was 5 years old and lived with Emory and Jessie Simpson at Ragged Mt. close to Paonia CO. He served 91/2 months in Korea. He died as a result of drowning while trying to assist two fellow servicemen. Cpl. Walkup's body was brought to Paonia CO by Master Sgt. Todd C. Greene. He was survived by three sisters Eleanor, Helen, and Ellen.
