BAIRD - Services for Pat Loyd, 72, of Baird, were at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006, in Parker Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Richard H. Wood officiated. Burial was in the Ross Cemetery. Mrs. Loyd died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, in Abilene Regional Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1933, in Breckenridge, TX, to William Melton and Christeen Demaster Melton. /She moved to Odessa in 1960, and lived there until moving to Baird in 1996. She received her Bachelor of Science in Art degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa. She was the owner of the Cowboy Country Gallery and Frame Shop in Baird. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She married Johnny (Bud) Loyd in Clovis, N.M. on September 27, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
