Bio

WARD Carlos M. Ward Sr., 90, a native of McVay and resident of Fairhope, died July 2, 1998, at his residence. He was the last surviving original member of the Volunteer Fire Department of Fairhope. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora G. Johnson Ward. Survivors include a son, Carlos M. Ward Jr. of Fairhope; a daughter, Betty Ann Sweat of Point Clear; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held July 5 at Brook Cedron Cemetery.
