SFC, US Army Korea & Vietnam From the Mobile Register, Mobile, Alabama Thur, 3/16/2000 ALTON MARION TOLER Alton Marion Toler of Pensacola, Florida died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 after a prolonged bout with cancer. Mr. Toler was born April 25, 1936 in Robertsdale, AL. He graduated from Robertsdale High School and went into the Army the same year. He retired from the Army Medical Corp in 1975 after serving 21 years. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He had two tours of duty in Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Fletcher and Bertie Lee Hastings Toler. Survivors include his wife, Elna Aaron Toler; sisters, Linda Annette Toler and Edith Toler Walker Rodrigue and husband Robert; daughters, Sherry Maureen Toler of California and Glinda Toler Bender Volk and husband Ti m of Nevada; grandchildren, Casandra Bender and Karl Edward Bender II of Nevada; step daughters, Judy Enfinger & husband Donald of Pensacola; Sylvia Roy & husband Brennan of Texas; stepson Gary Mitchell & wife Tanya of Florida; 5 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews who loved him dearly. Funeral services will b e 8:30 AM, Friday, March 17, 2000 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Estes and Rev. Willie Toler officiating. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery with Military Honor s. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Manning, Mac McGovern and Chuck Chase, Mike Melton, Rick Parker & Charles Merritt. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy, Pensacola, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at Faith Chapel from 6 to 8 PM Thursday.
