Bio

Private, Confederate States Army, Company D, 23rd Regiment Texas Cavalry. He enlisted 12 JAN 1863 at the age of 18 and reported present on a roll dated 29 FEB 1864. He was wounded in the war and lost a forefinger in battle. He was discharged in April 1865 and returned to Bowie Co, TX.
