Bio
Mavis LaNell Reed, 76, of Mexia, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in Mexia. A visitation and remembrance time will be held 6-7 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Mavis was born in Center, Texas, to the late Dewey and Bertha (Lovett) Campbell. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Everett O. Finch and Benjamin C. Reed; a son, Ronnie E. Ballard Finch; and a sister, Marie Donaldson. Mavis is survived by a daughter, Clarissa Reed, of Shiloh; sons, Albert F. Finch, of Garland, Everett Finch and wife, Melissa, and Benjamin C. Reed, all of Mexia; grandchildren, Keith Finch, of Robinson, Lauren Finch Eickstead, of San Antonio, Elex Reed, of Mexia, Anthony Finch, of Mexia, Jared Finch, of Boerne, Tosha Hunsucker, of Lacy Lakeview and James M. Finch, of Robinson; a number of great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Jo Lampley and husband, Doug, of Center. (The Mexia News: 7/1/2011)
