Edward J. Holub, 69, of Penelope died at 8 p.m. Sautrday in a Hillsboro hospitl. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday in the Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Catholic Church of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary in Penelope with Rev. Bohumil Hruby as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Penelope. Mr. Holub was born in West and lived in Penelope most of his life. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary and a member of KJT Lodge 60 of Penelope. Mr. Holub's wife, Mrs. Frances Holub, died in 1962. Survivors include five sons, Johnny Holub of Waco, Bill Holub and Henry Holub, both of Dallas, Jerry Holub of the U.S. Army in Germany, and Frankie Holub of Penelope; three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Edith) Nors and Mrs. Eugene (Martha) Hosek, both of West and Mrs. Steve (Frances) Soukup of San Antonio and sister, Mrs. Emil Blahuta of Penelope; and 21 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Frank Prnka, Tony Gallia, Larry Holub, Bobby Nors, George Valek, and Danny Holub.
