Grand Saline Sun [Grand Saline, Texas] July 29, 1920 R. E. Dixon received a telegram Saturday at noon stating that his father, J. T. Dixon died at Lynnville, Tennessee, at 8 o'clock that morning. It is supposed that Mr. Dixon died suddenly as no previous advice had been received here indicating his illness. Mr. Dixon was 78 years of age at the time of his death. A well known and respected citizen of Grand Saline for twenty-five years, he moved to Tennessee about nine years ago, where he has since resided. He is survived by his wife and two children, Mrs. Sallie Williamson and Mrs. Ellen Gray of Lynnville. Two sons, R. E. and Otis Dixon, and three daughters, Mrs. Willie Small, Mrs. Cleve Hawkins and Miss Mary Dixon, live in this city.
