Lila Browdrer was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Browder, October 17, 1878 at Murray City, Murray County, Tennesse. She moved to Cleburne , Texas, with her parents when she was a young girl. On September 18, 1898, she was united in marriage to Eddie Walter Prince, of Cleburne, Texas. To this union were born eleven children, four of whom died in infancy. The seven living children are Clyde E. Prince, Pampa, Texas; Mrs. Mattie Webb, McMinnville, Oregon; Mrs. Eunice Scott, Springdale, Ark; and Roy D. Prince, Woodrow prince, Dyson Prince, and Robert H. Prince, all of Boone Colorado. She also leaves six brothers, three sisters, sixteen grandchildren and a host of friends. She joined the Baptist church when she was thirteen years of age, and was a member of the Boone Baptist church when she passed away. The family moved to Boone in 1937, and have resided there since. The above obituary was read by the Rev. Charles Bell, pastor of the Boone Baptist church, when funeral services for Mrs. Prince were held Monday afternoon in the First Baptist church in Fowler. Mrs. Prince, died in Pueblo hospital, Saturday, February 24th. The body was in charge of the Larson Funeral Home, in Fowler. At the funeral service quartet of women of the Fowler First Baptist church sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "Asleep in Jesus," and "In the Sweet Bye and Bye." In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Molyneux, Mrs. Meacham, Clara Lewis, Mrs. Chas. Bell, Mrs. Stiers, Mrs. Lewis. Pall bearers were Jack Meacham, Walton Knight, Wesley Molyneux, Archie Dooling, Jack Benson, J.B. Sigler. Concluding services were in Fowler Cemetery. A number of friends from the Boone community attended funeral services here. Friday, 2 March 1945, Fowler Tribune.
