(from Family Search) William Nelson Mahurin was born on 15 December 1915, in Hill, Texas, United States, to Robert Miller Mahurin, and Britama Myers Mahurin. He had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Nelson was a veteran of the United States Navy. He married Ruby Irene Helms on 22 December 1932, in Hill, Texas, United States. They had 2 daughters, Patsy Nell Weir and Sue Mahurin Weir and twins sons, Coy and Roy Mahurin. The family loved music and playing instruments and wonderful times together. Nelson and Ruby were living in Midland, Texas and members of the Primitive Baptist Church there, at the time of his death on 31 May 1990, at the age of 74. He was buried in Resthaven Memorial Park, Midland, Texas, United States.
