Bio

Willie Preston West, 69, of Santa Anna, died Sunday, January 28, in the Coleman Hospital. He was hospitalized 18 days. Services were held Tuesday, January 30, at 10 P.M in Hosch Funeral Chapel in Santa Anna with burial in the Rosebud Cemetery. Rev. J.C. Tankersley officiated. Born in Milam County on October 7, 1898. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are the wife of Santa Anna; three daughters, Mrs. Curtis Berry of Coleman, Mrs. William Yates of Fort Worth and Mrs. Kenneth Schafer of Brownwood; two brothers, Martin West of Fort Worth, and Clifton West of Coleman. Two sisters, Mrs. Maud Lindhorse of Rockdale and Mrs. O.B. Watson of Coleman., Fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers for the funeral service of W.P. West were his grandsons. Bobby Pierce, Vic Pierce, Jimmie Berry, Michael Berry, Mickey Yates and David Yates. funeral services were held Tuesday morning, January 30, 1968, in Hosch Funeral Home Chapel.
