PERSONAL INFO: William West, farmer, white widower, born 12 MAR 1846 in Alabama & died 5 NOV 1929 in Coleman County, TX; son of Willam West & mother unknown by informant. (NOTE: Name of father is incorrect.) 2. INFORMANT: W. D. West of Santa Anna, Texas. 3. BURIAL: Shields, Texas on November 6, 1929. (NOTE: (1) Death date on certificate & death date on tombstone are not the same. (2) Have found no other record or death certificate of siblings of William that have an initial or middle name.) -------------------------------- FAMILY/RESEARCH NOTES: 1. MILITARY: Signed up and served in the Civil War with his father, David. Pension #31217 . William filed for his pension ion 12 APR 1915 n Milam County, Texas. It was approved 8 MAY 1915. 2. DEATH: Mortuary Warrant Application states that W. M. West died on November 5, 1929 in the home of son, W. D. West of Coleman County, Texas. 3. FAMILY: In the 1910 census, William M. & Rose Ann West have a 12 year old boy, Willie Andrews living with them shown as "son" on the census. May have been a grandson. 4. DESCENDANT: FEB 2010 - According to Judy Mount, William's middle name was Morris. Thank you, Judy.
